Roman Diary by Richard Platt

"This was a nice, family read aloud depicting what life during the Roman Empire was like through the eyes of an educated slave girl. There were wonderful, lighthearted illustrations and really nice notes for the reader too."

"Wonderful telling of the Pilgrims from England, to Holland, to founding New England. The title is misleading though; very little is mentioned about the Mayflower's voyage as not much original documentation was found by the author."

What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Osteoporosis by Felicia Cosman, M.D.

"This book is a good outline of how you need to become more independent of osteoporosis; and stay there. The author has osteoporosis herself. Doctor Cosman gives a more in depth of what one needs to look out for.  I give this book 5 stars. I hope she writes more of a current edition."

"This is a great fictional suspense read. This teenager wakes up in a torture chamber & manages to escape while trying to figure out the last thing he remembered and how he got into this predicament."




Lights Out by David Crawford

"Fictional book on what happens to a man and his family when the power goes out for an extended period of time in the U.S. REALLY makes you think about how quickly society would crumble if such an incident occurred today!"  This title is not currently available from the library.
